by far the coolest thing geared to kayak anglers is the new universal scupper mount from Lowrance. Its made for skimmer and HDS transducers, and, in all honesty, I don't see why the setup wouldn't work for other manufacturers.

The Talon station, however, is awesome.  The plate bolts to the deck and offers a removable RAM Mount for the head unit, power/transducer plug for Lowrance units, and a spare 12v accessory plug.

That transducer mount is pretty slick. After watching this video I don't see why hummingbird transducers wouldn't work too.

I don't like the fact that it sticks out.  What are you going to do when it catches on some kelp?

Coming from a guy who is very good at breaking things I am pretty sure I would destroy the transducer if it hug out like that. One good smash on the sand or the rock just under the surface that you didn't see or the end of my rack while loading or unloading....
I'll keep mine inside the hull.

You can go for a swim.  We don't have much kelp in Oregon.
It looks pretty slick.  I agree with FG sooner or later I'm going to run in it rock or snag it loading up.

That set up looks like it would work well for our Atlantic ocean fishing. Im am member of the Canadian kayak anglers and live on the east coast. I will be watching for hummingbird to come out with something like it.

Anyone in this forum know of anyone I could contact to get out yak fishing in Soldotna Alaska? My wife and I both are yak anglers and are heading there tomorrow for 10 days. Looking to do some killer king fishing.

Ummm ... Humminbird already has something like it.  While it was designed to fit the Ocean Kayak scupper holes specifically designed to fit the transponders, I see no reason why they couldn't be made to work on normal scupper holes, although they would also stick out.
