I got out and fished Point Williams today.  Launched at a little park north of there about 8:00.   It was a little tough getting my PA to the water but it was well worth it. I had four pinks on but only landed one by 10:30.  I caught two on herring and two on a coho killer.  This was my first time out in the salt and I had an absolute blast.  I will most likley be out there a few more mornings next week.  The best perk about teaching is that I have lots of time to fish in the summer.  Awesome morning to be on the water.

Congrats, Zack! How was the launch? I caught my first pinks at Lincoln Park in '09 from the beach and really liked fishing there. Now with a kayak, I'm itching to get back there. I might do an early morning 5-6am for a few hours next week.

Very nice!

I see you have 9 posts so you did post here prior to catching a salmon...so you had been warned...

Welcome to the scary addictive world of kayak fishing.  Don't look behind you...there is no going back.

Congratulations on your early success.  It is a well known psychological fact that early success at gambling leads quickly to addiction.  Fishing is as close to gambling as you can get without actually gambling.  You're toast.
