single kayak for ocean fishing

i have the malibu pro 2 tandem and an ocean kayak frenzy i use for bottom fishing. im too big for the frenzy and the older model pro 2 tandem is not very comfortable to use as a single. you have to sit on the large hatch and there isnt anywhere to put your feet making the ankles sore after a while.  what is a decent single kayak to use in the ocean. im not looking to spend a bunch of money on a hobie, looking for ocean kayak, malibu, maybe wilderness systems brand

All those brands make kayaks that will get you rippin' lips. Just think about all your gear (and things you'd like to add later) and go do some demos. Look at the available deck and storage space and think about how you will or won't use it. Hit the shops for demos or hook up w/your local NWKA folks for test drives. Enjoy your search.

Also it's the drive system that makes a Hobie pricey, but they do make nice paddle models that are reasonably priced.

OK Trident 13 Angler  or OK Prowler Trident 15 Angler

how about the trident angler 11? too small? im looking for something more comfortable than the pro 2 tandem i use. there is no back support other than the seat back. when using it single the seat is on top of the flat hatch.

Personally, 13' is as small as I would go.  Storage space, stability, and low speed are issues with shorter kayaks.  Ocean anglers may chime in here.
