Pinks on The lower Snohomish

After talking and checking all of the forums I'm thinking about checking out the lower Snohomish for pinks this Friday. It opened today and one report of two limits:

Has anyone fished this area? Any advice on fishing the river tides in the kayak? I've fished from my canoe near Snohomish years ago and it wasn't too bad but its been a while and I didn't know what the heck I was doing back then - same as now:)

My initial plan is to put in at Lowell aroun 6 AM (incoming tide) and fish up river till the tide changes (9:30) and takes me back to the launch.

Please let me know if my plan is flawed. My plan was developed using internet tide charts and very limited knowledge. Plans can change and I'm open for suggestions. Thanks

I have fished the lower snoho the last two pink runs out of my malibu 2xl yak.  Still quite the novice...but...  here is what I have learned.  Start fishing right before slack on an incoming tide.  Fish seem to start moving once the tide starts coming in.  My lure of choice is a pink feather-like jig 3/8 oz.  Have plenty of extras as there are lots of roots and logs on the bottom.  I plan on heading out on Friday morning.  I will be river christening my new hobie outback.

I just got invited to fish the sky with a coworker who knows where to find the pinks. The launch is actually much closer to home so I may go back depending on how it goes tonight. Sounds like pink jigs is the way to go.
