Many thanks to Pelagic Paddler for guiding me on the maiden voyage of my Tandem Island on the Columbia today. We launched out of Washougal, cast tubes for Bass in the morning, then spent the afternoon anchored out back-bouncing wobblers for Salmon. Landed one nice 8 lb native Coho, what a thrill!

I've got the TI rigged with tramps, fishfinder and rod holders on the akas so I sat in the beautiful sunshine in my beach chair on the trampoline watching the barges cruise by waiting for the bite. What a great setup for fishing. Way too much fun!

I highly recommend GroundswellKayakFishing.com for anyone looking to spend an awesome, educational day on the water. Ron's pretty much done it all in kayak fishing and has the teaching skills to boot. Thanks for a great day!

I gotta see a picture of you sitting on the tramp in a beach chair.  That is just not right!   ;D

Great job! Smart move going out with groundswell too, it's incredible how much Ron knows. I'd love to see some pics of your rig too.

Aytch..  Thanks for the kind words, I had a great time too. That Tandem Adventure is quite a craft and the beach chair was a great idea, you looked very comfortable. What a cool way to get out and enjoy the river.  I expect to see some reports from you with pictures of big salmon in them! ;D   Ron

As promised, here's the Coho. Also a shot of us on the Big C relaxing while we wait for the bite. Gotta say the Tandem Island is super for back bouncing wobblers using Ron's anchor system. The Tommy Bahama Beach Chair is so perfect for fishing from the trampolines, even has two large zipper pockets for tackle and snacks.

Hope to meet up some time and swap fish tales!

What an awesome ride you have there!  Which is more fun, sailing it or catching fish out of it?

That's a great craft! I feel like you should have the deck filled young ladies in bikinis.

Sailing and fishing are both fun. Trolling up river gets you both if the winds are right. I'm always up for a fishing partner either in my boat or au flotilla.

Bikini clad fish cleaner, hmm. Maybe in 10 years when my granddaughter is ready. She's one year old now.

That rig is just about the raddest thing i've ever seen. And that gray haired dude on it looks exactly like my dad.
