OK, laugh if you want to, but it works and I couldn't part with 50$ for a chunk of plastic, and I would have needed 2.  I know some of you guys sell this stuff for a living and some of you guys spend 1k for drysuits but I aint got those kind of $.

What you need
1-chunk of wood
2-marine goop
3-velcro

Pretty simple, and wood floats, was worried about knocking the sonar off but it is pretty stable and there is some adjustment and it is easy to set up other boats for it.  I added an eye screw for a lanyard.

I like it - simple, functional, uses existing resources.

I first mounted my FF on a length of Trex and just had it strapped to the top of the rod pod on my T13.  Used it this way for awhile until I had enough experience to decide on a more permanent solution.

I will be looking to do something similar in the future if I am to install a Trolling Motor on the PA.  Seen a few done.  Thanks for sharing.
Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.

Most of your mount will float and adds buoyancy while my plastic and metal mount doesn't ....
  Big Thumbs Up !!!
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't
