Sure... they come out with a new version a couple months after I buy a second one and the 3D housing.  I do wish the older ones had  better low light imagery.

Very cool shots and impressive image quality.   Starting to look much closer to the "High Definition" that  our eyes are used to seeing via HD broadcasts and BluRay.    I notice how well the video is edited so scene changes match up with the beat of the music.

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I had to watch that again.  That is so awesome.  I am also  excited about this new wi-fi remote if it allows me to power up and start recording remotely.  Apparently, you can control up to 50 cameras with it.

Great promo video, a must have, but only after, I get a dry top and possibly a trailer first.  :)
definitely on the wish list!
Hopefully some day I get back into Kayak fishing, for now.  Gotta focus on Life.

While sitting on my butt healing from my recent knee surgery,  I've had some time to fiddle with the Hero 2 that the wifey got me for Christmas.  Did some deliberating on how to get more run time with it, given that the factory battery is good for about 2hrs of run time.  Depending on which memory card you go with, you could easily run out of battery before even coming close to running out of card capacity.

No particular order here, just a pretty good array of options to extend our GoPro run times.

1.) GoPro replacement 1100mAh battery (AHDBT-001) at $11.50-$19.99. Uses same configuration as standard battery.

http://gopro.com/camera-accessories/rechargeable-li-ion-battery/

2.) GoPro BacPac™ (ABPAK-001) at $39.99 - $49.99. Makes the camera heavier, requires larger back door, and unable to use LCD BacPac™ (ALCDB-001), or other expansion upgrades with it.

3.) Progo aftermarket 1100mAh battery at ~$14.  Uses same configuration as standard battery.

4.) Progo Aftermarket 1100mAh battery + AC/DC charger at $22.90.   Uses same configuration as standard battery. Also the extra charger that works both as a wall charger and a 12VDC car charger.

http://www.amazon.com/Progo-Rechargeable-AHDBT-001-AHDBT001-Motorsports/dp/B006JFF9HO/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327012944&sr=1-3

5.) Two Progo Aftermarket 1100mAh batteries + AC/DC charger at $29.90.   They use same configuration as standard battery. Also the extra charger that works both as a wall charger and a 12VDC car charger.

http://www.amazon.com/Progo-Rechargeable-AHDBT-001-AHDBT001-Motorsports/dp/B006JFV3BK/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327012944&sr=1-4

6.) Wasabi aftermarket 1400mAh battery at $8.99 - $10.99. Uses same configuration as standard battery, yet boost run time due to additional 300mAh capacity.

http://www.amazon.com/Wasabi-Power-Battery-AHDBT-001-Cameras/dp/B005I6BSRA/ref=pd_sim_p_5

7.) Two Wasabi aftermarket 1400mAh batteries + AC/DC charger at $22.99.  Uses same configuration as standard battery. Much more available power with the two larger capacity batteries.  Also the extra charger that works both as a wall charger and a 12VDC car charger.

http://www.amazon.com/Wasabi-Power-Battery-Charger-AHDBT-001/dp/B005NC8BF6

I opted for the two Wasabi 1400mAh batteries with the charger kit.  It showed up in the mail today, and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the quality of the hardware sitting here.  Everything is very well made and the batteries fit perfectly in the GoPro camera.  The factory supplied 1100mAh GoPro battery fits perfectly in the Wasabi charger and charges up as it should.

Now I just need to get out and use it.  Can't wait to shoot some fishy videos.  ;)

Thanks Zee, that promo vid is never a dull moment. Gawd forbid I get one of those and inadvertently stimulate a search for my favorite spots! That is some cool sh*t, though!
Hey kardinal_84, I am trying to keep surfing, even at 61.  But that won't get you chicks at my age, unless you got money.  Anyway, ya gotta go further south than here if you want to see bikinis in the lineup.

Hey Craig, if ya wannna control up to 50 cameras, you need help!

I only want to control two of mine.  But, you are right, I still need help.

I was hoping to be able to control Insayn's and DTS's cameras without them knowing it, too.  That way I can turn theirs off when they got a big fish on. >:D
