Hey gang!!

I wanted to introduce myself and invite everyone to demo the Jackson Coosa! We just got our demo fleet in today and they are ready to get wet but don't have anyone to take them fishing  :-[

Bring your rod and try casting from a standing position in flat water. The stability will floor you!!

I will be setting up a demo this weekend in Hood River but will gladly take this show on the road if you have some guys in your area who would be interested in paddling one.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments or demo requests.

I will announce the Hood River, OR demo tomorrow as I'm not sure which day will have the best weather yet.

FishOn!!

Welcome to The Cure D!

Glad to have you guys on board.

Any chance you can flip that bad boy over and post a pic of the bottom contours?

Here you go, Spot :)

This boat is designed for whitewater or moving water situations. The pics are from my iphone so they aren't that great but you can see a bit of the rocker in the hull. That means this boats turns really well in moving water conditions but still tracks well in flat water.

I see this boat being used by guys who want to get down the Deschutes river or the Klickitat out there in the gorge or the Clack or sandy out your way. Anywhere you can take a drift boat you can take this kayak!!!

Check this out...http://www.youtube.com/user/RiverBasserDrew#p/u/13/mDfxujI38ek

This can handle up to class 3 White water but super stable for standing and casting on the flats!!

I have a 2011 Coosa and I can tell you this is a great ride. I just got in this evening from checking my crab traps here in Crescent City. Nine crabs on an overnight soak. This was after spending the morning fishing the Smith River for salmon. Life is good with a Coosa.

Willbd,

We don't have a Cuda yet but hopefully will in a couple of weeks.

I had the chance to see one up close at the Jackson factory in Tennessee and I can tell you that they are going to be great fishing platform on flat water. Its another boat that you can stand and cast from and has lots of storage for rods and gear. Drop me a pm and I will let you know when we get one in.

How would you expect a Coosa to handle the Puget Sound or Strait of Juan de Fuca?  Although I'll no doubt start off fishing some local lakes in order to get comfortable in a yak, my eventual goal is to try for halibut and ling cod.  Flat water stability is great, but if the ride is too uncomfortable in the seas that are so common on the salt up here there's little point in getting one.  Seems like high seat might make that rough ride.

Hey sumpnz,

The Cuda would be much better for the Puget sound or Strait of Juan de Fuca because of its length and tracking ability. The Coosa is a great boat on rivers and flat water but if you were having to paddle long distances while fighting wind and currents you would want the most efficient paddling boat.  The Cuda is  14.3 ft and paddles and tracks very well. There is also a rudder option for the Cuda that would work really well for off shore paddling!

As for the seat, it can be placed in either the high or low position! It can also be removed and used as a camp chair when you decide to chill out on a beach or bank.  The seat is very comfortable and is one of my favorite features of both boats. I love being comfortable and I could sit in that seat all day long.!!

Happy fishing and pm me and i can let you know when we get a Cuda demo in.

I've never paddled a Coosa but i've been fishing the Coosa River near Talladega for the last 2 weekends. Does that count for anything?
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

Great find on that video
Very impressive as they have really thought out some great features.   I especially like the seating system.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Craig,
The High/Low seat is my favorite feature on this kayak!! It's very comfy and functional.  Instant camp chair!!
