Sportcraft Ramp Open

Just though I would post this about another launch spot re-opening.

That's a nice ramp for yak launching!  I can't imagine what the lot looks like during springer season though..

A great launch now but still trolled by thieving scum.  I saw a fresh, broken window and ransacked pickup truck there recently.  Like all boat ramps, leave nothing in your car/truck if you can help it.

Thanks for the news deepcolor. That is one reason I feel a little better about launching at George Rogers park. My Tundra does not look that interesting in a parking lot full of Lexus, BMW and Mercedes

I know its a longer paddle but the ramp at Clackamette park sees WAY more law enforcement patrols (cops are down there keeping an eye on the skaters and the rv park) than Sportcraft.  Sportcraft gets a little lonely and forgotten in the "off season" and the low life's know it. Problems started happening more when "Sportcraft Marine" moved out of there, they used to keep an eye on things as they had their inventory of boats down there.
