Been pretty busy and need to get on the water tomorrow. Thinking to go to the Hood Canal for Chums depending on how the weather materializes. If not there I may do the trolling patrol @ RB for blackmouth. Anyone interested in getting out there?

Zee,

Myself, I've been thinking of going over to a secret location near Lake Sammamish to try for some 3 to 5 pound trout that have recently been planted in a small lake.  (It's Beaver Lake, but don't tell anybody)  :-X

Any interest?

Zee,

I've never fished that lake.  It looks from Google map like there is only one launch for regular sized boats on the south end, but I would probably take my wheels and try to launch from the park on the south end of the lake.  There looks to be one more launch for "real" boats on a small adjoining lake to the north.  Maybe we should meet up somewhere closer to a known highway or something.

That, and to be honest I'm feeling like I'm getting something in my throat so I wouldn't mind waiting one more Saturday and do this over the T-day weekend.  I'll have myself a new addition to my toy collection by then.  I'm going over to pick up Polepole's old ride from Floatin' Cowboys that Friday.

Ok, I will be heading out to Beaver Lake tomorrow barring any crazy change in the weather. I'm sure It'll probably rain w/ plenty of cold but I need to get on the water. If anyone decides to join gimme a ring.

Hit up Beaver Lake Sat morning. There were quite a few shore fishermen and boats. It was pretty slow in the morning except for one boat that seemed to have it dialed. Looked like they were trolling a small spoon w/ a Powerbait worm on the end. I cast around the lake for not too much and then went trolling since not too much was showing up on the FF. About 10AM it opened wide up and people were catching left and right. Nice fish also to about what looked 6 lbs. I trolled some more w/ a wooly bugger and nailed a 6 lb'r. Great fighting fish so let him go back. The rain then came on and didn't let up so cleared out.

Also fished last night w/o the yak wading w/ the bug wand @ RB. Got a few shaker blackmouth that was really fun. Just a calm quiet afternoon.

Sorry for the no pic post.. the camera batteries died..   :'(

Zee,

SIX POUNDS of rainbow!!  Holy cow, I've caught SALMON that weren't that big.  Let's see... caught and released, no pics... yeah, sure, we're beleiving the whole story.  Yeah, 6 lbs, that's the ticket.   ::)

Nah, really Zee.  If you say it, I beleive it.  I did indeed get sick last weekend (still sick now) and now work might interfere, but I can't wait to give that lake a try myself.  10:00 am bite huh?  Okay, sounds easy.

He he... those triploid trout are some crazy looking fish. I wouldn't believe myself either. Here's one from Beaver Lake.. they're chunky.
