I am definitely in tomorrow.  I finally got the courage up to ask for permission. :whip2:  Thanks for getting me bait Nate.

I really wish I was going.

I will be heading out past you guys around 1:00.

If I see you out there I will honk obnoxiously.

I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

No magic for DC on the Big C this morning.  Hopefully the rest of you caught something after I left.  Still - a beautiful place to get skunked.

The fishing never picked up and it was skunks all around.  I think I may give up on getting a sturgeon upgrade this year.

I tossed in the AOTY sturgeon hat today, as well.  At least I have bait for next weekend.

It was cold out there today.  Thankfully, DC had brought some anti-freeze.  The sun did come out for about 20 minutes, though.  I think this was the first day sturgeon fishing for me where I didn't even get a bite.

Neglected to charge my phone last night, so it paid me back by shutting down while we were on the water. I think my last picture was of Nat, with a tug boat behind him as a size reference. Once it charges back up, I'll try to post some more pics from today and also should have some of the Netart Bay crabbing defeat.

I saw all of you guys out there as the wife-unit and I were heading out to Portland from Hooterville. I honked like a madman around 11 a.m. My wife goes, "Why aren't you out there with them?" Grrrr...

On a good note, she gave me the okay to head out to the Gardiner Fishing Derby in February if that should gather steam. Woo Hoo!

Wow, total bummer getting skunked on crabs and Dino's this week for NWKA.

I think I'll hit Battle Ground Lake again for rainbows tomorrow with my grandson. Gotta restore our confidence.

Also planning a trip Tuesday with my new friend Jason (Buzz Ramsey's nephew). I'll post details in case anyone wants to join us.

We had a couple of honks from vehicles later.  I was wondering if it was people that knew us, or just thought we were crazy.

I was in a Honda Ridgeline at the time. Looked like you guys had that hole pretty well covered. I'm bummed you guys got skunked!

I honked at a Subaru with a yellow hobie on top heading west., but it looked pretty empty when I drove by the park at close to 2.

Sorry you guys came back empty handed.

I still wish I was there though.

I went to Fred Meyer's in Vancouver near 205 and Mill Plain to get some of those Berkeley PowerBait Trout Worms. They had some tan and some pink ones that I got but no Chartreuse. I may drop by Walmart tomorrow. I will try to get out to the lake tomorrow afternoon when it's a bit warmer.
