Fished the Nestucca River yesterday from 6th bridge to Hebo. Only saw 1 fish caught on back bounced bait. I threw pink plastic worms drifted and wiggle wart plugs, Pirate. I did not have any luck myself. This river would be great in out kayaks from Farmer creek down to Hebo. The fish must be in because every corner had either a drift boat in it or a bank fisherman.

Farmer's down to Cloverdale is the drift.  Perfect for kayaks (as long as you don't snag your anchor on a rootball and flip while trying to get to the bank....) .  The lower river fishes well for Steel when the water is up.  Most of the fish shoot up river once it drops significantly.

Were you in a drift boat or a yak.  Either way, you had one heck of a long day!  How was the shallow bedrock section below 4th?

Spot you are correct. It was Farmer to the County Boat ramp  in Cloverdale. If I remember right it was off Hanson Rd. No I did not take my Kayak with me as I was down at my beach house working on it as far as the boss knows. She would have noticed my Yak missing but not my rods. I was also there by myself so did not have anyway to shuttle my rig down river. I went way up river and was checking all the holes I could get to, up Blaine Rd to Mi 7. It sounds like you have ran this before in your yak the run from Three rivers to Cloverdale, is this a technical section of river? I was told it was for advanced rowers only. It did not look very tough to me but I did not see the whole river. I am going to go back and  take down my yak and maybe someone else will want to go so we can shuttle a car down stream, or maybe I will check for a shuttle service. I think the the river needs to rise again and when it is dropping would be a good time.

Yup, run this river quite a bit.  The store in Beaver will shuttle your car for you for $10.  Just remember to bring a spare key.
Farmer's to Cloverdale has a couple of fast corners but definitly not a difficult run.  I've done it solo a couple of times without incident.  I'd love to join you some Sunday when the water level's good!
