The only problem is that it is in PDX and I am still in Pittsburgh.

But, I head back tomorrow.  Who wants to go fishing?

After all of my stops I should be able to make Portland by the 21st.
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

Congratulations Sinker!  Hopefully we can get some folks together and head out once you arrive and get some blood on that pretty new revo.

Congrats on your new kayak.  After testing out the outback and the Revo, why did you go with the Revo?

Nice choice!! did you go with the 11' or the 13'?  Get some turbo fins and the large rudder on that bad boy and you will be ripping it up!!

+1...why?  I'm curious since I know you took a good long look at both.

It really came down to a just a few things.

It is easier to put on top of my truck.

It is a nice boat to paddle- am not a fan of the rudder control for paddling, but I will probably only paddle in places where it is too shallow for the fins and rudder anyway.

The biggest consideration was that after pedaling both, by the end of the day I didnt really feel like the extra stability of the outback was worth the decreased feeling of being nimble on the water.  I really missed the feel of the water in the outback.

It was a close thing though.

I honestly think I would have been perfectly happy with either the outback or the revo, or the adventure really.

I did go with the 13

I can't wait to pick it up!

Great choice, the Revo is tops in my opinion----best of both worlds of speed and stability combined.

the place the Outback tops the Revo is in deck space - it is a lot easier to find places to mount things - but the Revo is just too sweet of a ride!
