So it seems like blackmouth fishing won't be toooo promising so I thought maybe rockfish maybe a better shot.  But since I live in silverdale I'm going to have to drive a decent ways to get to an area legal to fish for these tasty fish.   If any of you were me, where would you go?  Toward the peninsula, or south.  I have no idea.  I just want to get a few fish in the yak.   Also if anyone wants to meet my wife and I somewhere and all fish together that would be cool.  Thanks guys.

Contact ohbryant and wet whopper( seldom posts anymore but fishes the coast just north of ocean shores) they should be able to point you in the right direction

Hmmmm disregard contacting whopper. Just checked members listings and it seem Richard isn't active anymore.

MAs 4 and 5 in the Strait may be your best bet this time of year as you may find some protection from the powerful W swell. The coastal conditions are looking pretty unfriendly.

What about greys harbor?  It seems like the back side of the jetties would be more protected.

If you catch the very end of the outgoing tide, and ride the incoming tide in, you might be ok.

My Navionics app is saying the current between the jetties will be between 2 and 4.1 mph this weekend.

Tides are looking pretty unfavorable this weekend. Strong ebbs pulling you out to sea at during the day.

Check the weather too, the forecasted 15'+ W swell means you are going to have huge breakers inside the jetties. The current forecast + tides for the Grays harbor jetties seem not even close to fishable this weekend IMO.

It was either $9.99 or $14.99

I'd listen to Micah, he has experience out there.

Yeah I won't go out in that.  Especially with my wife.  I'll probable end up Yakin the sound or canal for sea run cutts.  With the right conditions is that a pretty good spot?  I also would love to get that navionics app.

I just checked the Sportsfishing Rules Pamplet (p.102): Unlawful to fish for or retain rockfish in Areas 6-13. Looks like you'll have to go out to Seku/Neah Bay or out on the coast.
