I figured I'd post this here first to give a fellow NWKA brother or sister dibs if interested.
I'm hanging up my boating hat for a while. Hooked on this thing called a "hobie" ;)
I have a 12' Valco up for sale. It's pretty wide across and sits pretty low in the water. I've used it to drift the clack and Lewis but mostly as a lake boat. It's been mostly garaged the whole 5 years I've owned it and covered when I had to move it outside.
I installed 3 higher end swivel seats and installed bumpers on the trailer for easier loading. Trailer has been recarpeted recently and all the wiring and lights on the trailer are brand new. Just welded a new 2in receiver on the trailer as well. Also new front wheel support for easy latching to hitch.
I'm selling the boat with the trailer. I also have a 1969 6hp Johnson that can be sold with or without the boat interested. I have the original manual and maintenance manual for it.  It runs like a champ but needs the carbs cleaned as its been sitting for a couple years.
It's a sweet boat, needs a good home as I've babied it long enough and could use the space in my garage.
I have title in hand.
PM me if interested. I'm going to wait a week or two before I post on craigslist.
1200 for boat/trailer
160 for 6hp Johnson
Thanks!
Paul

Those are really nice for lakes and the lower rivers.  A small aluminum skiff like that is perfect for trolling in the lower Chehalis or the lower Willapa. The wide beam on your Valco makes it nice and stable for stand-up casting and playing a big one. For a 12' tinny, that's a good one!

However, I hear ya on not using it once you start paddling yak. I only take my old Sea Nymph 16' aluminum john boat out when I have someone who wants to go fishing with me. I rarely take it out alone, but I might start to do so, just so I can enjoy it more.  I can load my Ultimate 12 in it, maybe even two yaks not over 12' for some day-trip mothershippin' (I have a couple of large lakes in mind...motor to the far end, and bust out the paddle craft).
My 2005 Merc 9.9 hp Bigfoot is barely broken in.  Less than 20 hours on it. Looks almost brand new. I will use this boat trolling for salmon in the Bay this season, though, and also plan to take it to a lake so I can stand and sight cast to risers easier.

Good question. It's a PVC frame for my boat cover. Since I mostly garage the boat, when I need room in the garage to work on something I cover the boat with a boat cover and store it on the side of the house until I'm done in the garage. I designed the framework to keep the boat cover from caving in. Works really well and is easily broken down.

Well, I said I was gonna post her up this spring, and here she is. Price drop for NWKA brothers if interested. 1200 on Craigslist, 1000 for NWKA.
