Great video Roy, looks like a lake compared to yesterday. I swear it was like riding one of those mechanical bull rides, but with water and rain and wind in your face. I really had doubts about making it back a couple of times after waves broke over me from the side! Still, not as bad as that first wave that nearly hulied me in back of the pinnicle. That one soaked me from the armpits down! Congrats on finally gettiing your ling!

Thanks for posting the vids of the rough water. Not that I am looking to be out in it, but gives me some confidence that the hobie can take it. I have been out on the ocean a couple of times and have just been blindsided by bad conditions.

I fished closer to shore than the other guys. also portaged across the sand bar rather go around. G-dog came as close to a huli as humanly possible on a sneaker & still stay upright. I was impressed. I went out late on Sat. Had to time entry & exit off the sand bar. Coming back the 3-4 wave sets on ebb tide were closing out the bay, so had to time that also. It was a hardcore salt weekend out of Sunset. the kind when you close your eyes later you can see the waves & feel the swells.
