You're right though, I just don't want to spend the extra coin to replace them.  ::)

I wonder if a super crafty guy like Insayn could figure out a way to swap it to the other side?

Yeah, I was just wondering about that.  I bet it could be done pretty easily once a nice flat spot is deemed sufficient.  I'll be thinking about this more.

Jeff,
Abu makes some nice narrow bodied round lefties that would work for you for under $200.00

I saw your over the rig reeling too and wondered how long it took you to adapt.

Man..... I saw that coming!   8)

Easy short term fix, turn around in your seat and your lever is now on your right.  :laughing7:

A pivoting Hobie seat! I could use that on the TI. Get on it Craig!

Also wondering if the concept of my spring loaded 1963 South Bend Oren-o-matic fly reel could be duplicated in a level wind. Pull the trigger with either hand, sweet!

Once again I'm late to the party, but nice videos and photos everyone.  I'm very jealous, especially given that I was in the middle of a long drive to Disneyland while you were all fishing.   The following photo is the closest thing to a surf landing I've done in months.

If you do that, you'll have to wear the uniform of a Canadian Mountie, since everyone will be calling you "Dudly Doright!"

Those videos are awesome guys. Looks like a lot of fun launching from the beach. A little nerve racking the first few times but fun nonetheless.

Is there a thread or video on proper surf launching/landing?

Not that I know of but I think we should get Rawkfish to make one on surf launching and landing. Then we can have INSAYN make one on what not to do  ;D

The only thing you have to strive for is staying IN the kayak.
I'm still working on that.   :-\
