I bought my paddle when I knew nothing about paddles except what research I could do myself.  Ended up with an Adventure Technology.  Anyone have opinions on the AT line of paddles?  I'm just curious.

The Corry at 240 is the paddle of choice for most of Team Bridgeport. I believe that Werner warns that these are not suggested for WW or surf and the team has proven Werner correct by snapping 2 of them mid shaft doing both surf and lower class WW.
I use the Sherpa (also from Werner) when using a WW boat or when riding the Kaos or the Disco.
My special lady friend uses the Camano and enjoys it.

We have referred to the Corry as the "paddle of overcompensation". Its tough not to use it when everyone else is or else you cant keep up with the pack.

I have the A/T Ergo Tour Fiberglass paddle that I purchased along with my T-13.  It's a very comfortable paddle with the bent shaft and long narrow blades.
It's not a great "get you through the surf" kind of paddle, but can paddle all day long with it better than my other cheapo plastic paddles.

I don't take it much as it doesn't strap to the side very smoothly during fishing.  But I do like it.

I'm gonna have to check some of these out and see how they compare to mine! I can get going pretty serious with mine, and have paddled in alot of different waters....mines pretty good for me for a good days hard paddle with plenty of food and Gatorade lol,

I have the same paddle in carbon, 2-piece with adjustable length and feather.  Guess I didn't do too badly.  I carry it religiously on my Revo and have no problem securing it using the paddle stays on the boat.

Thanks to my 5th place finish at the ORC I now have a brand spanking new carbon fiber Werner Camano.  Trying to see if I can exchange it for a 240 though (it came as a 230).  Just waiting on word from the Kayak Shed on that.

Any recommendations for a big tall guy paddling a boat(cobra fish and dive? )  I have some cheapo paddles, but thinking about an upgrade to something better.

You can't go wrong with AT or Werner, I've got an AT bent shaft (can't remember which model) for my whitewater boat, well worth the price.  When I get another fishing yak I'll be getting one of their 240 paddles, either of those companies will make you happy with the purchase.

For a tall guy in a wide yak you'll want a 240cm paddle, maybe even longer.  I've been quite happy with my Werner Camano.  Granted I have nothing to compare it to.

Actually it depends on your paddling style.  High angle or low angle? I'm a big tall guy and I don't like paddles over 230.  But then again I have a high angle paddling style.

When you consider your height, you should think about ape index as well.  If you have a high ape index like me (long torso and arms, short fred flinstone legs), you need a longer paddle.  When I paddle, it's high angle, and I'm only 5'8", but I still need a 240cm paddle.

Werner, corryvreckin (not sure I spelled that right) I haven't paddled the revo much, but man, it moved the hell out of my Tarpon 160.
