Thanks guys. I see a trend here of moving through various fishing methods and water sports. My first kayaking experience was on Bainbridge Island when I was 14. My friend and I rented some ocean touring kayaks and spent a day exploring. Kayak fishing looks like a cheap(er) experience vs buying a traditional boat. Plus I don't have to buy a new tow vehicle or gas! I know this isn't going to be a cheap hobby, (does one exist?)but it looks like a cost effective and enjoyable one. Especially since you can go on lakes where motor boats are forbidden. I look forward to getting out on the water soon since my dad has a tandem, maybe I can hitch a ride on some trips out and get a good feel for it.
All fishermen are liars except you and me
(and sometimes I wonder about you).

Well I have officially bought my first yak! Thanks to Noah for a heads up on scoring a deal from up North and to his connections to help get it delivered down to Portland! It's a 2012 Revo 13 in Ivory Dune. Now the real fun begins, off to find some deals on rod holders and other accessories. See you guys on the water soon.
