Some of the AK guys have bought from www.rei.com. I think they have free shipping to any of their stores!

If that doesn't work it is best to group your shipment with a couple of other boats to keep the per boat costs down.

Single boat shipments can get up to $450 or so. I've seen multi boats shipments as low as $175 from the west coast to AK.

Good luck!!

Alaska Raft & Kayak -- $350 for shipping (in a shipment that contained two boats) from Hobie.  Nice guys to deal with one-on-one, but watch them closely on the terms of the deal you strike and then how it's invoiced. The number has a way of changing in their favor when you don't.

Derek can do better on the shipping.

I ordered a Ocean Kayak prowler 13t from REI.com for free shipping ....I was not about to pay 350.00 for a hobie....things are expensive enough as it is. You cant go wrong with the REI deal..... or call kayak Academy in wasilla and ask for the Tarpon 140 he has for sale for 650.00 .......easily worth it.

Derek will take care of you if you want a hobie.
