Nothing really much to report other than the insane weather! :blob6: I was sitting around on Thursday and they claimed 48 and sunny on Sunday.... yeah right, I thought. Saturday night I watched the news, used my amateur meteorological skills and they looked to be right. I also had just installed my downrigger and was ready to test it out.

Super still morning w/ no wind and low clouds. Then the clouds burned off an hour or so later and the temps went all the way to 50. I took a break in the middle of the lake and slept a bit. I sure miss that!!!

Anyway, I did try to fish and trolled w/ the downrigger w/ a needlefish behind lake flashers but no takers. Saw quite a few on the FF and lots of bait. The downrigger worked really well and drag pulling me to the side wasn't really a problem at all compared to what the Deep Six does.  Looking forward to taking this on the sound for salmon!

Zee,

I'm really interested to find out more about that downrigger that's going so well.  Maybe you can give us a post on the "Let's talk kayak fishing" board some time soon.

If at first you don't succeed....  maybe skydiving is just not for you.
