I noticed from some YouTube videos that many of you are wearing helmets when fishing in the salt. As I understand from the my searches, the helmets are for protection when landing on the beach (as well as a good place to mount a GoPro). I am hoping to have an opportunity to fish the salt sometime soon so can someone offer some insight and/or recommendations?

Did you have other questions outside of that discussion?

Thanks Rawkfish, that helps a lot. I quit, restarted my browser and did another search and found a bunch of entries that did not show up in my first search... strange. Sorry, I don't like to start redundant posts.

Thanks for the reference back to the thread Jeff. Actually, I had just updated it, since I found a great deal on a helmet the next day.

No worries, just want to make sure your questions are getting answered.
