Hey all,

I have not had the yak out since the 10th of March due to various commitments, taxes,... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My waders didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD! (gotta love the blues brothers).

You get the picture. However, this weekend it looks like I will finally be able to get the kayak out on either Saturday or Sunday (not sure which yet).  I am not sure of any water conditions since I have been out of the loop for a month. My guesstimate of the fishing landscape is that springer fishing is a long shot. Sturgeon looks like it should be good. Heard that there were some steelhead getting bonked at Meldrum. Justin has me hankering to go bass fishing (some slough on the Willamette, Vernonia, Hagg?).  Certainly their is something like trout fishing at Lost lake or perhaps Harriett (never been to either).

Is anyone else heading out this weekend?

I plan on fishing on Sunday, but don't know were.  I was thinking either going for springers or steel on the Willamette, but I really want to try out my new trout/kokanee rod.

There may be some paddleboard bassmastering at Loch Hagg on Sunday.  Maybe.  weekend looks full, but the chance exists.  Not sure the bassy denizens are warm enough to do battle, though.  But I don't know much about those matters.

It's usually a long shot but the pay off is awesome. Hit the Willy!

Thanks for the replies and ideas,  I really appreciate the input. After I talk (feel free to substitute beg) with my wife I will have a better idea as to whether Saturday or Sunday looks more reasonable.
