I noticed I was getting some scratches on my new 300 series Humminbird, and I remembered that I had bought some extra screen protectors for my Iphone.

Turns out with a little trimming they fit perfectly over the viewing area.

I also noticed when I put it on that it was not perfectly clear.

When I was at Pacific City last Sat, I realized that they were the glare reducing type and that is why they were not clear.

I was really happy with how well they reduced the glare.

I should have taken a picture.  A the sun was coming up it was reflecting off my bright yellow hat, and all I could see at the edges of the screen that were not covered by the protective coating was the bright yellow reflection.

I could still see the screen perfectly through the no - glare coating.

They cost half as much as the ones designed for humminbirds sold on amazon.
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.
