Kodak PlaySport Zx5 - Office Depot

Went to Office Depot for a new keyboard and walked by the camera section.  They have the black Zx5 for $99.99.  They price matched a 32GB card for it down to $28.

Good deal for a decent waterproof way of taking some vid   Looking forward to my first one after my (non-fishing) vacation next week.

You are lucky.  The Zx3 is a better camera IMHO.  The sensor is bigger resulting in less "noise" in the image.  Nor can you take the battery out of the ZX5 and replace it.  If it goes bad you need to send it to the manufacturer and this is from Kodak:

Kodak recently announced that it will be exiting the digital camera, video, and picture frame businesses. Service & support will continue within the terms of the manufacturer's warranty, which is 1 year from the purchase date.

You will probably be able to get replacement batteries for the ZX3 for years, whereas if the Zx5 internal battery craps out after the warranty expires a person could be out of luck.  Or, you could just be like me and drop it in the Willamette and watch it sink to the bottom. Now I needn't worry about repairs.
