Took the Outback to Hagg Lake today to fish for trout.  After several hours of trying to catch some of the lunkers in deeper water, I took the lake troll off of the downrigger ball and set a green wedding ring spinner back about 40 feet and 10 down.  In the next hour I caught and released eight planters between 10 and 12 inches all in 35-40ft of water.  The last 12 inch fish I kept because my wife actually likes to eat trout, ugh.  The main thing is everything works and seems to be in just the right place.  I love the Scotty gear head extender and the 385ci works very well installed on the sail mount.  Now all I have to do is practice some surf launches/landings and pour some split tail grubs.

Nice job! You might want to graduate up to the Willamette or Columbia before hitting the Salt. George Rogers is a great spot to fish for Springers, Sturgeon, or bass.

Nice detailed report, Burner. I have the same fish finder and I love it. Great buy. Hope to see you on the water in the near future, Burner.

The next thing to buy is a GoPro......the smart phone seems to just leap out of your hands whenever it's near water.
