Now THAT'S wild.  Why didn't I think of that?  I happen to be 100% Italian, second generation American.  My last name is the one that raises a few eyebrows amongst the older generation.

I have to work at 10, but I may just through on some clothes and come give you a bon voyage!

I saw your Italian name, that's why I posted that. If I were a Flyin' Portagee I'd go for Ling Guisa.

Water is really blown out and choppy and the wind hasn't come up yet, Ling Banger is thinking maybe Newport Reservoir for trout today. Any suggestions?

Sorry about the conditions. I was really hoping to relive yesterday through you guys today. How about Yaquina Bay? I used to catch fish along the South Jetty.

Nice Piles O' slime guys! You guys have it made with the ling fishing. The puke on your suit is a good thing. I hosed off my dry suit good the other day, but just yesterday I was treating the zipper and found a nice glob of dried blood on the pants I had missed. It made me smile all over again!

I have to tell ya, my arms are sore. LingBanger and Langcod gave us great instruction and set us up for an awesome day. It was amazing to catch that many fish. I had knot in my reel and as I was working it out caught three Lings. They were flipping jumping on my line. Watching IHop catch three in a row was priceless.

I don't know if I should go out again. It doesn't get any better than today. With that said, When do we go again?

Thanks again Lingbanger. You hospitality and generosity are beyond compare.

Great job guys! The best part, Steve, is it actually does get better! Just wait until you have your first 20 fish day, then 30 and so on.

I think Steve did have 20 fish.

Sadly the wind and sea were unkind so LB and I headed down to Newport hunting trout & bass. Never has a lake been fished harder with less success. All I got for my efforts was a serious sunburn on my shins.

The bright side was I stripped the amas off the TI and discovered what a sleek, fast machine it is without 90 lbs of sailing rigging attached. Still super stabile, too. I realized that's another benefit of the Mirage Drive and rudder. It also paddles nice (unless you want to turn quickly, 18 1/2 feet doesn't pivot).

We couldn't have had better conditions, a real lamb of a day, and the bite was pretty steady. Everybody had a good time, stayed safe and got to rip a few lips. I had a great time, thanks to all for coming out. A few better late than never pics

Looks like IHop is compensating for something with his safety flag.  You could put a sail on that thing. ;D
