Depoe Mojo

Ling Banger, LangCod, Wobbler and I fished DB today and to say the least it was an epic day for us. Wobbler and I had our first salt experience and he caught more lings than he could keep track of. He kept a 28" & 26" limit, had five nice black rockfish and one undersized Cabezon.

I caught about 10 lings and kept a 24" & 25" limit. Also kept a 19" Cabezon - two species limited In one day, unheard of for the iHop! Got blood and ling puke on my dry suit, christened my lip grippers and catch bag, everything just went great.

Ling Banger kept two big lings (living up to his moniker). LangCod got a triple rock on one line plus lots of Lings.

I'm super tired since I only got 4 hours sleep so I'll post photos later. Gotta say peddling the TI solo into wind and swells is not an efficient way to move. If it weren't for the AOTY rules I'd have popped the sail and saved my ancient body.

Many, many thanks to LB for his gracious hospitality and mentoring. Tomorrow we get to do it again. This time I may sail and just go for Kayak Wars points. We'll see.

Wow....that is awesome.  I still have a hard time imagining 'shooting the hole' in a kayak.  It's nerve wracking enough in my Trophy.  Great Job.

Internet is slow, waiting for Flikr upload to finish while we dine at the Italian Riviera.

OK, sorry for the lameness, I usually post pics from my iPhone via Tapatalk, Flickr works, too, I just don't remember how. Need to get some sleep for tomorrow, I'll try to fix it Thursday when I post Wednesday's report.

iHop, out...like a light.

I went to flickr and saw them.  That is awesome.  Plus, with three species in one day, you got yourself a kayak man point for Kayak Wars.  Awesome job guys. It looked like a big lake out there. I wish I could join you tomorrow, but I have to work.   On the plus side, I found a house in DB that my wife is interested in.  Fixer upper, but maybe it can be a NWKA clubhouse. 

I have to tell ya, my arms are sore. LingBanger and Langcod gave us great instruction and set us up for an awesome day. It was amazing to catch that many fish. I had knot in my reel and as I was working it out caught three Lings. They were flipping jumping on my line. Watching IHop catch three in a row was priceless.

I don't know if I should go out again. It doesn't get any better than today. With that said, When do we go again?

I've been a bit under the weather for two weeks now.  Even though it was my day off work yesterday I was tied up with errands and a doctors appointment.

Every time I hit the highway I could see you guys out there...........

@#$% is that unnerving, or what?   But...... at least I was close enough to FEEL your joy!  Great job!
