Piggy, meet NWKA; NWKA, meet Piggy.

Piggy, be prepared; these are distinguished members of the paddlesport community.  They have sat upon many of your plastic brethren, and have strong opinions.  You, Piggy, are different; they may not see your beauty.  NWKA, be kind.  Piggy is indeed odd, and unlike much of what you have seen.

Piggy comes from a troubled past.  I rescued her from a shelter - a noble act of kindness if I do say so myself.  See, she was sitting, er, caged, in a high end board shop located in Bend, OR.  They specialize in disposable carbon fiber rocket sleds, and came to acquire Piggy through a mass buy from one of their distributors.  Piggy is a hefty gal, and was simply taking up real estate that could otherwise be devoted to four slender boards of prettier stature.

But I saw the promise of her.  I envisioned debris-ridden Tualatin River trips in search of bass.  I recognized her potential when it comes to floating rocky warm waters in search of chubby catfish.  Piggy had a destiny, and its name was Jade.  Besides, the shop owner basically paid me to free his floor space.

Piggy was made by YOLO, a stand up paddleboard manufacturer with good intent.  They have some high end race boards, a pro team, and all of those associated trimmings.  But Piggy was an experiment gone largely unrecognized by the public.  Durable, fat, and wide, Piggy wasn't well received by the typical stand up market.  A shame, really.  She really is well suited for what has been termed the hydrospider experience.  He may not be into BBWs, though.  I am.

The first few shakedown cruises have been good.  Piggy is stable, obidient, and accepting.  No blood has been spilled upon her decks, but I am still getting used to an upright board.  I bought Piggy with intent to board fish - well, stand up yak fish - in waters that would otherwise give me a rash.  See, I normally prone paddleboard, but dragging one's doodle through filthy water has a way of making one accrue a healthy dermatologist bill.  Piggy needs further testing, and a more comprehensive review will follow.  But for the stand up curious, let me place an early recommendation upon thee.  Sure, a YOLO yak won't be the starting QB in your quiver, but, for a fun diversion, this gal is a solid choice.

I think she would like to meet some over sized sturgeon on the willamette. They look like the would get along well together.

A few weeks ago during that Surfing shindig at Westport, I saw a pair of SUP boarders with crab gear. SUP's seem like decent fishing/crabbing platforms for flatter waters.

Nice ride indeed

RR, she would love to have you gaze upon her curves and ample bottom.  Bring a boat to work, and plan to hit the Tualatin in the evening.  Wait out traffic by flinging lures...

This can be arranged one sunny day in the near forceable future.

Oh, I love me some big girls! and I am fortunate enough that my SLF loves them too!

Thanks for starting my day with some full figured porn AJ, and welcome to the path that leads to a stronger core muscle group. You will need it if you want to ride the more voluptuous ladies.

I could not agree more that these craft are not the QBs on your team but this style of paddling and fishing is so much fun that your starters will be seeing some healthy time on the bench.

congrats AJ

Ahhhh yeah!  I KNEW that the hydrospider experience would endorse the chubby chasing.  That's a nice ride you have there.  Your special lady has a nice paddle.  Homemade?  Can't beat that wooden look.  I may have to pick one up!

That paddle is produced by WhiskeyJack paddles.
http://www.whiskeyjackpaddles.com/
Her particular model is called the "Whiskey Jane".
Kind of a "secret" style of paddle. (strong enough for a man, but made for a woman)
Check out their entire line of Kayak, Canoe, and SUP paddles.
They are clearly another one of those products can can double as art.

WR,  You are correct sir if you are referring to the downward deflection of the nose of the board.
To avoid the threadjack, here is a link to my full review of this boat/board and it will explain the design.
It was my last contribution and my "fare thee well" to the NCKA before signing off.
