aside from the obvious length and sonar shield, are there any notable variations between the two?

ive paddled the trident. and from pictures alone it seems like the tetra will sit lower to water and has less capacity, if anyone has paddled both and can break down difference in performance it would be appreciated

I have a T11 and I paddled both the Tetra 10 and 12 last summer with Jim Sammons

When I got back to the shore, I wanted to trade my T11 for the Tetra 12. I don't stand up to fish. I don't need something super stable. When I fished the T11, I wanted something that was maneuverable (especially compared to my T15).

The Tetras are narrower, so that initial stability is a little bit smaller. They remain, IMO, stable enough of a fishing platform. They're faster than the Trident since they're not pushing water around that extra girth, and they track a TON better.

This isn't a big-boy-boat. Yes, the Tetras have a lower carry capacity at 300-350lbs, but that is also the same as the Hobie Revos, and just 50lbs less than the T11... something to keep in mind.

I know others here that have paddled the Tetra didn't like them for some reason, but I think they're a fast, nimble boat, perfect for small water fishing.

I'm 6' even and felt there was plenty of space, and then some. I don't think the cockpit area was any smaller than the Tridents. I'd definitely find one to paddle around if you can.
