I'm a glutton for punishment, but "I gotsta know!" I'll be there from 6 to noon, launching from the west end near the bank access. I'll be on channel 69 if you wander in.

Okay, I'm not THAT much of a glutton for punishment. There were only 3 boats on the water when I arrived this morning around 5:50 and the wind was starting to pick up. I HATE fighting the wind. I think the opportunity for Springers at Drano has passed. I decided to head back home and work on my Kayak Rack at home. Besides, Bette's Place had a cinnamon roll and cup of coffee with my name on it.

Well, there's always Fall Chinook, right? D'oh!

Wow amazing there werent more boats.

Know what you mean about the wind. Made Folly Beach lighthouse this morning at dawn and the cops wouldnt let us on the rocks cuz of winds over 30 and gusts over 45.

Where's Bette's? Before or after the turn in?
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

I spoke with a few friends of mine who fish Drano pretty regularly, I got the impression the fishing there has not been very good. You have to consider towing a boat there and trolling all day for nothing when gas is near $4/gal. And, as you mentioned, it has been windy.
