little bugger poked me too... I almost ended him because of it... but I set him free, although with less of a tail.

You just had to go and find one bigger then the mine...  ;)  actually, I couldn't grab him cause I kept getting poked, so I grabbed his tail with my pliers... opps.  :-\  He swam away alive... but you could tell his dignity was hurt.

I thought it was a red ear (wrongly) but after more searching on the google, I was incorrect and now think its was a pumpkinseed.

If you ever catch another one, grab it by sliding your hand from nose to tail with a quasi firm grip, it'll push down it's dorsal fin and give you a firm grasp. I've had more than one of those little prickly suckers draw blood from me too. That was actually my daughter's first fish. Her's came from a small private pond in NM.

Damn, those guys are begging to dance with cumin, lime, tortillas, pepperjack, and cabbage.  They have the form factor down.

That be true, Jade. They built a new brew facility on the east side of Bend...impressive spot.

A couple of new ones in the mix, too!

If you want yourself a damn good dark beer grab a bottle of Yeti, the oak aged one not the espresso one. Freaking fantastic. Though be prepared to dedicate some couch time afterwards. At 10.5% ABV a 22oz'er is perfect bring on a solid afternoon nap!
