Is anybody going to be chasing sturgeon this coming weekend?  I'll be in the area and I'd prefer not to be fishing alone (safety first).

I'll like to hit the Big C. for a possible keeper but don't mind fishing the Willy.

I will try and join if possible but I have some rigging to do before ORC and wanted to try and get my wife and sister-in-law on the water for free fishing weekend. We were thinking George Rogers if the weather is nice. If they weather is bad I will probably be down solo :) I believe Langcod plans to fish on Sunday and he's always down to chase Sturgeon. When do you arrive in PDX?

I'll get to PDX whenever I want :P

I'll be fishing the Mouth of the John Day on Friday and then I'm headed that direction.

OK, so I think that I'll be fishing on the Willy @ GR park on Saturday morning.

If I can get somebody to go with I'd like to hit the Big C on Sunday.  If nobody wants to hit the big water, I'll most likely go back to GR Park.

Does this sound good to any of you?

I can't make it Saturday, but if my plans to climb Hood fall through on Sunday I would hit the Columbia for sturgeon.

Yup. So perhaps keeper Sturgeon hunting on the Big C on Saturday and George Rogers on Sunday? I think I can make Saturday morning till about noon on the Columbia, maybe longer. I have a spot in mind but no idea if there are any fish being caught there.

That would be my plan. High tide is at 10:50 and I think the bite, in theory, would be better from first light till about 9:30 and then from 2:00 to dusk, on the second outgoing. The afternoon tide also might make the pedal/paddle back interesting if we fish downstream from the launch site. Hmm.
