Paint

Do you have to paint the whole thing or just the bottom? Just rattle can it and call it good. Touch up as needed

Alrighty gentlemen, I am not offended by this guy wanting me to paint my yak.  I paid 260 bucks for it (I would not paint a hobie either) and figure it is no big deal.  I like fishing and I enjoy hanging out with this guy.  The price of "admission" is no big deal to me on this one.  Now understand... I think his preoccupation with scaring the summer run salmon is odd and likely unnecessary, but it is how he is.  So the question remains... What paint will work on the plastic of a yak?

According to Water/ color absorption science, my blue Hobie should scare the living daylights out of any fish within a 100 feet. I can use that as my new excuse.

There is an auto paint that they use to paint the plastic bumper parts and such.

Supposedly krylons fusion is designed for cplastics like out yaks.

I'll try the fusion... Iirc that is what insayn used on his fiberglass rod pod.

It's just weird, but it's your world.   Use the Krylon Fusion and go fish.   

I gotcha!   This guy catches more fish then anyone I know so I am willing to bend to this kind of whim.  Generally speaking, I am willing to do what needs to be done - within reason - to learn what must be learned.  If you told me you would teach me fabrication but I needed to wear a tutu... I would ask what color.

If your fish catching ratio doesn't instantly increase as you are expecting, then what? 

Just so you don't get frustrated when your expectations pop, you might want to find out exactly what eats, wears, and what body wash he uses.  I strongly feel that my crappy luck fishing has more to do with my human scent.  Fish must really not like it.   

I don't figure it will instantly increase... but I can learn from him, and put those things I learn to use where I fish with him as well as other places... does this not seem logical to others? 

btw - I have not been offended by anything that has been said - not that it would matter if I was - and I am not feeling the need to defend this situation - it is what it is
