I think there was plenty of people that day(myself included) who felt EXACTLY the same way as the look on your face shows!  Awesome fish!

OK, after throwing back 3 cabs, up to 22 inches, and thinking I would catch something bigger, I finally ended up with this guy. No contender, but my personal best black rockfish at 4.3lbs.

I usually get accused of looking like Tom Selleck.  When I had a goatee as well, it was either Trotsky or Mephastapheles.

Here's me with my 2 keeper lings.  The bigger one went 11lbs 7oz and was good for 5th or 6th place.  I actually though that fish was a snag at first - until the head shake.  I had thought about letting the smaller one go, but he was foul hooked and kind of torn up from the line.  Since he was legal length (24") I figured I'd better go ahead and keep it.

Too much fishing? Can there be such a thing? I fished Thursday, Friday, Saturday and felt great on the water. Certainly pretty tired after Saturday but a 3:30 AM rise will do that to you.
