Thanks to everyone who worked to mark ORC happen! Also, a big thanks to the men working the fish fryers, those were some damn tasty tacos!

Rory-
I was distracted by the beer and festivities and never found the donation can. Can I paypal you some money to add to the $201? Maybe supply your paypal so others can send a couple additional bucks too?

Yeah, absolutely. You can paypal money to rory@thewhiteroom.com. I matched Allen's donation (turns out he won the bet after all, but kindly still donated the money) so we're up to $281.

Donation sent!

Anyone else have a few extra bucks to support the community that let us participate in such a great event? You know you could afford a small percentage of what you spend on pretty reels and fancy boats  ;D

I had one of my least productive days on the salt and weighed in a total of 0 lbs, but still had a great time.  It was great catching up with the usual cast of characters and meeting many of the new folks.  Thank you Mark, Chinook Bend, the sponsors and all the other folks who donated time, money and food to make the ORC such a fun event.  I am already looking forward to next year.

  ndogg,
How many pounds of lead did you end up losing ?
Sorry your conection rate wasn't any better than it was but glad you had a good time.

It was another fun ORC. Thanks to everyone that made it happen. Congrats to Jammer (wish I stayed by you longer) and everyone else who placed.

I must have lost about 5lbs of lead. It just seemed like I couldn't get away from the damn buoy.  I got the same amout of fish as last time only mini sized. Im just glad nobody got hurt and everyone got back safe.

I was happy to see some grown men cry from my ribs!   ;D

I, too, would like to offer special thanks to Mark, Allen, and everyone else who made this event happen. This was my 5th ORC, and the only one so far to fish two days in a row.  Although I didn't do as well as some past tournaments, I still caught fish and had a great time doing it! It's always so nice to see familiar faces, and meet new fellow fishermen, and fisherwomen. I also feel that we were all very lucky to have had the weather be in our favor. I guess it was just meant to be! I am very glad that everyone stayed safe, and I am sure we all learned lessons about the effects of fog and current. As far a I am concerned the next ORC can't come soon enough!

What an amazing time!! A big thank you to all that could make this possible!! Was great to finally put a face/persona to some screen names, and share the water with you all.

PS: F**** your ribs John!! Does your marinade consist of the fires of hell, or was that one individual rib a special present for me :P I used to consider myself a fan of spicy food, but my guts will never be the same. I now have a bucket of snow cones next to the toilet to extinguish the flames.

Had a great time, totally!   Awesome to see some old friends, and meet some new ones.

NCKA's Loose Screws - Sailfish, Fish-n-Brew, and Hobie Dave.....thanks for making it up to the ORC.  Hope our waters kept you'll interested enough in coming back again.

Mark Collett (aka Willy Nelson).  Dude, you are a kick.  Can't wait to stand around a smoky fire with you again talking smack, bud.  Hating rabbits all the way!

This was my first time to an ORC where I got the boat wet 3 days during my stay.  I think next year if I make it I'm bringing Sturgeon gear to play in the Siletz with.

It was refreshing to enjoy the potluck from the other side of the fryer this time too.  Big thanks to Olyspec, Sumpnz and Browneye for taking on the task.

Can't wait to hear how Jammer puts his own spin on the ORC organization next year.  That's what you get for being a big fish magnet buddy!

Fungunnin, thanks for the cutlery.  I'm going to get some Kydex sheet and make me some sheaths for them.

I was wondering how long it'd be before someone made that connection.Could be worse-I could look like Burt Reynolds...just sayin'

Good to meet you as well INSAYN.I'll share a campfire with you anytime dude.Loved checking out your trailer...that is a sweet unit.Next time we'll have to spend a few hours getting down to the good stories cause I'm sure we both have plenty of those.

This was/is/and will be such a great opportunity for a lot of us to get together. If you didn't make it this year--PUT THIS ON YOUR CALENDER for 2013.I think we all had a great time. And we also came away with new knowledge about fishing salt. That it can get or be dangerous in a hurry.Glad Willbd came out unscathed. We all will learn from your expirence.
I'll again say a hearty Thank-you to all that keep this event going.Outstanding job guys.
And we can all help Jammer make next year even more outstanding.........so offer to help where you can.More hands make for easier work.Be a contributer---we will all benefit from the effort.
