That is one of the toughest decisions ever.  Good luck.  I have an Adventure and an Outback.  Outback is usually my first choice for fishing.  I love the side trays and the stability.  It rocks for crabbing.  I can stack three crab rings on the front deck or a couple pots.I was standing and casting from it for bass on Hagg Lake today.

Sweet. I love my revo. Hard to make a bad choice between the two, I wouldn't mind a little more room but the revo really moves.

I know a lot of you have the outback.  My main question is about paddling it on surf launches... How difficult is it to move by paddle through the surf?

   Hey Justin,

I'll throw in my limited expirence with the Outback. The biggest surf I have gone through so far,is only about 3-4 footers.I found the outback will punch right through that size surf.Of course you will get wet from the waves coming over your bow,but that's why we wear the stuff we wear.I don't have any time on a Revo yet,but from what I've seen, it is a faster boat with a narrower beam.
As has been mentioned many times--demo,demo,demo. Then you can make a more educated guesstimate on what'll work best for you.Determine your priorities--speed or packing a whole bunch of "stuff".Stabilty is not a huge issue for me ,I feel comfortable in my SINK or the Outback. But ,I also have been in kayaks for many years.
Find your own comfort level and go with it.You can always add to the "stable " later as you get more time on the water.
Took a good look at the Raptor today and gotta say they are sweet units.Cost a little more than this OP but still they will find a niche' too.
Sorry to get a bit off topic--but you asked.

Craig is not the man to ask about paddling in the surf, he pedals that thing everywhere - even right up to the beach.

I made it down to Kayak Shed today and I am now the proud owner of an Outback. I can't wait to introduce some blood to it. Derek was a great help and I look forward to doing business with him in the future.

Congradulation on getting an Outback,Justin.Where are you gonna get it wet ?  MagicSeaweed is calling for 2' swells out at Westport. But NOAA is looking at bigger stuff with 2-4' wind waves.HHmmmmmmm.
I haven't been back out to Ocean Shores since Super Bowl Sunday...have you ?One good thing about OS is if the salt is too nasty you can always fish Duck Lake for freshwater fishes.
Just a little food for thought.....but either one could be good for a maiden voyage.

I haven't decided where I'm going yet but I will probably hit nearby lakes for bass until I get a ff rigged.
