Astoria on the 4th

Late report from Astoria on the 4th. Started early on the ebb out of Astoria with the current ripping and a lot of weeds I had to fish shallow until the water calmed down then I fished into the deeper water. Fished both sand shrimp, and anchovy but the fish wanted anchovy, and the bites felt like weeds going down the line. Missed a few bite until I knew what was going on and then landed this 45 fork length at about 9:30 and was back at the truck by 10:00 overall a great day and I wish it was still open but there is always next year.
