Gonna take the AI out and sail around trolling spoons for clipped coho. Looking to be shoving off the beach about 7am. If anyone's interested in meeting post up!

Would love to some other time, but can't make it tomorrow. What is the technique with the spoons? Trolling up high?

Would love to but I cant make it.  I had the same idea yesterday.  I mooched around lincoln park after dropping a crab pot.  Found some good bait but nothing but dogs biting.  No legal dungies either.  I will be interested on how you do, will probably be out there a couple times this next week with all the PBs.

Yep. Sliding sinker to about a 5' leader of fluoro and a spoon (coyote/kingfisher etc.). Probably the top bit of water but will follow the bait.

The "forecast" was waaaaay off. 10-15 mph my ass. I decided to just sail around and had some sustained 20+ blasts and then sideways rain on top of it. Ca-razy! Nice meeting ya Blair.

Yeah, I learned a good lesson yesterday about reading the wind conditions.  If the trees are noticeably moving in my valley, the sound's going to be whipping.  I made the trek to Cormorant Cove south of Alki in the afternoon, took a long, hard look at the water and  decided it wasn't worth the effort.  I can see how it would have been fun with the sail.  Here's hoping the weather cooperates a bit more next weekend.

I am interested in going out from GG tomorrow (Saturday) or Sunday morning.  If anyone else interested let me know, i would appreciate the company.  I am fairly new and i have only caught a couple of fish from kayak to date.  Never caught silvers..

I was toying with the idea of dropping a crab pot too.
