Fair enough. They worked great for me. I lost a ton on chaffed leaders before I made the switch, but a lot of my buddies were landing them regularly on J hooks too. Nothing beats watching them destroy top water poppers though! Big chug bugs are by are my favorite way to catch those prehistoric plug snatchers!

Following up on the hook thread...rav, all my breakoffs that day were on my mainline. Which is 100% my fault (for not maintaining properly).  None were on the leader. Seaguar 80# flouro can take an enormous amount of abrasion. I even had 4 split shots clamped onto it :-/ for the fish i landed, and the mainline was singing like an overtuned guitar string when I was trying to horse the thing up. Still didn't break.

Only thing that's broken that off for me have been sharks.  That said, i've landed quite a few sharks with it too! Tough stuff.
