I took Roy up on his offer and was glad I did. The weather was unbeatable, except for a little fog. The fishing was just as good. I caught my first Greenling of the year, and caught at least ten Blacks. The highlight was catching my biggest Cabbie ever. So ironic that the season closed a week ago! Anyway, I quickly measured it before releasing, and it was around 26 inches. Also caught a smaller Cabbie and an underling. If the weather, and fishing, are like this in two weeks, the tournament should be awesome!

Today was even better! real calm no fog i was tucked into the rocks  with no problem. The fishing wasn't red hot but i did better then i did yesterday. Caught a monster black rockfish, i'll post up a pic later. Looks like we are in a trend of flatter water so hoping for the best on tourny conditions.

When is it? Im still looking for a different kayak. I've almost talked myself into a new hobie. I decided not to take my sink in the ocean any more.
