Paul gets his eyes from his mother. ;) Dana, doesn't cabelas have them in Eugene?
You're right, I did get my eyes from my mother.  :) I buy dumbbell eyes along with most of the other supplies from Caddis Fly in Eugene http://www.caddisflyshop.com/fly-tying-beads--cones--eyes.html
They've donated prizes to the Sunset Bay AOTD the last two years. Last year Dana took home a fly reel loaded with line.

Nice flies.  Looks like you put some work into it.

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum is a "fly" that I've had some good success with.  I'll have to take some pics when I get a chance, but it is nothing more that EZ Body with a drop of glue to hold it to the hook, and clear tubing over the top with the tail cut at a taper.  The EZ Body doesn't even extend past the tubing, it's just there for a little flash.  The tubing is for a little bulk and protects everything.  I used to make them with a tail, but it didn't seem to make any difference.  The hook has a longer shank so the body is elongated.

Wow!Those are amazing flies Paul. I'm especially diggin that last one. You should consider bringing a vise and supplies with you to the ORC 2013 and possibly give us a mini-clinic Friday night on tying saltwater fly's. :)

Pretty sweet!

Since Santa brought new Ross fly rods for the kiddos for Christmas, I dug out the fly tying stuff from years past.

Hard to believe its been so long since I tied. Been lazy and bought flies the last four years! Ug!

Thanks for the inspiration and ideas, PNW!

Very nice work. All my flies get thrashed by rockies (admitted, I suck at tying) so have recently switched to all plastic flashabou wrapped and heavily epoxied.
I also use quit a bit of flash, synthetic hair & Clear Cure for the finish. Seems to hold up well on the rocks. Yak hair also seems to hold up well. Anyone have buck tail, boar, or raccoon they'd like to trade for flies?
Tied some new ones

I like those loud mouths...  very nice work. I'm thinking of a few places I found last year where I'd have liked my chances with those.
