Brought my buddy out for his first kayak/salt trip ever, just a casual paddle on Lake Pacific to chase some rockfish and ling.  Packed the appropriate gear, including the small net.  Note:  this time of year there are salmon starting to make their way back to their home rivers.  Let's just say it was a bit of a feces show that included a lot of laughing, cursing and passing the net back and forth to get this guy.  He looked bigger when the 6'4 guy wasn't holding him

(Probably belongs in TRs but I don't have any add'l pics/video to share so instead it's a warning that the salmon of Capistrano are starting to make their instinctive trips so always bring the big net  ;D )

Very nice fish, good job landing it!  Enjoy eating it!

Enjoy eating it!

I will, first up today is some teriyaki salmon on stir fried veggies.  Going to smoke up a slab later this week as well.
