Fished the tide change Saturday afternoon.  My girlfriend and I wasted a bunch of time dropping two crab pots but finally got our lines in the water to fish. I didn't have my line in the water 20 minutes when my down rigger popped and my reel was peeling out line.  An 8 minute fight ended with a 30 inch hatchery king.  The first respectable fish I have pulled in on my kayak.  What a rush!

Fished 120 ft of water - 60 ft down.  Using an Irish Cream spoon and green/metalic flasher.

Dinner last night and the rest is brined and headed for the smoker.

and crab to boot, Now that's a feast!

That's awesome! I need to get a downrigger. Seems like that's the the way to go. I've only hooked salmon jigging and trolling with a deep six.

3pm ish.  Right around tide change.

Yes, my girlfriend is a trooper and quite into fishing.  She parks my trailer better than I do as well.

Beautiful night on the water last night at the tide change.  Porpoises diving right over shore and lots of bait skipping.   My down rigger popped just north of the green can off of Golden Gardens.  Line was peeling out from my drag.  I got the fish near the side of my kayak and he made another run for it bending the rod under the boat.  I saw the flasher, then the flash of him swimming away.  Damn!  Fished 40-50 feet down with Irish Cream Spoon that worked for me last time.  Also couldn't keep the shakers off the line.

The night would have been perfect until I noticed my pedals were acting funny with little resistance while pedaling.  I got into the boat launch just before dusk.  One of my turbo fins was gone.  That's a first.  Appears the locking pin was missing as well.  Contacted Hobie this morning about a replacement.

I've yet to stay out past 1pm, how's water traffic in the evening?

if by last time you mean the OP with the king, you know they closed the season for chinook in our area last week right?

It was dead out there last night for boat traffic.  No wind, so the sailboat armada was no where near.  Saw two other people trolling and one Outback.

I was out last night with the wife for a late evening paddle. Must have been BallardBrad coming in when we were leaving the beach. The brush fire at Richmond Beach was the highlight, some dolphin and surface bait going after sunset.  Was out this morning saw a few small coho caught, but no such luck for me.  Seems the bite is widespread and scattered pockets of small bait are still around. PBs are working from North of Meadow Point out to the center of the channel off West Point.
