Need a kids dry or wet suit

I'm heading to Depoe Bay Friday to spend a week with my 12 year old grandson from Tahoe. Plan to fish the salt a lot and need to dress him for immersion. He's about 85-90 lbs and very lean and athletic.

Any suggestions?

Try a surf shop for wet suit rentals or does next adventure rent dry suits.  There is a surf shop in Newport on the north side of town that rents gear and it's name is Ossie's.

Sometimes Goodwill can yield some great deals on used wetsuits but trying them on is critical for success.

Found this at Goodwill for $10. It's a White Stag Small. My grandson is 4'11" and 85 lb. He's not here to measure. Thoughts?

I'd probably just rent one. The first one will be uncomfortable and on the second one I think it would be best to get his arms and legs covered. You could also just go buy some cheap waders and combine it with my spray top.

Rent him a fullsuit (wetsuit).  If there's any chance he'll end up in the water, you'll appreciate the added security.

Maybe or a surf shop on the coast. They're pretty cheap. Dana mentioned one above.

A couple that come to mind are Ossie's in Newport or Safari Town and Lincoln City Surf Shop in Lincoln City.

There are several surf shops in LC on 101.  All of them should rent suits but you may want to call 1st to ensure they have stock in that size.

We do have some fairly small drysuits for rent but I am not sure they are quite that small. We do also have a closeout suit from palm that is wicked small for sale. If you've got the time swing by and take a look at either option

How small is wicked small.  I need something for my 7 year old.
