Well the lake is on a fast drain, and will probibly be draining even faster After the fire that started yesterday. But in the hour and a half that I fished last night I pulled 9 fish to the boat. 3 very nice dollys biggest being 20in smallest at 16in, 3 ok sized rainbows 15in being tops, and last but not least 3 good sized cutthroat 18in down to 16in. It seems they are all stockpiling in the holes at the bottom of the draining creek (gold creek) around the stumps. If anyone is interested to come to Snoqualmie Pass and do a very short paddle to catch alot of nice trout I will be around all week and ready to hit the water anytime after 3:30pm. Message me or just give me a call 206-755-8173 Thanks and enjoy.

That sounds like fun.  What's the afternoon / evening bite like? Is it windy in the afternoon?

The afternoon/ evening bite is great I fished with my daughter yesterday at about 2pm and pulled in 3 fish in about a half hour. The lake is dropping fast due to the need for water to fight the fire in CLE ELUM about 2ft in 24 hours the wind is moderate but you can use the stumps to post up or bring a anchor and just slowly move around It's about a 10 min paddle to the hot spot right now so even if the wind is bad it's not to much work. Hope to see you out on the lake. John

Had a great evening on the water last night, met up with yaktrap and slayed the fish. Some cutts, Rainbows, and some large dollys. Lake draining fast but the fish are bitting. Had fun hope to see some more of you make the trip to the mountains.

You think the fishing will hold up through the weekend?

He's not kidding around.  It's like fishing in a mud puddle about 4 to 6 feet deep, but the fish are thick in there. For a while it was was a fish every cast. It was like fishing at a trout farm. Bring light gear, they can't make long runs but they are fun to fight. Best trout fishing I've ever seen.

No more ice fishing, it should still be good just fish the north side of the lake where the creek comes in. From the creek south thru the stumps is where all the fish are sitting waiting for food to come down their way. good luck if you go I will be out fri. evening and if all goes well all day sun. give me a call if you decide to come up.

Ive got saturday morning free and am thinking about giving it a shot from daylight to about noon.  Is it your typical trout gear, spinners, spoons etc...?

Thanks,
MW
