Pacific city tomorrow morning?

Planning on fishing pacific city tomorrow morning. Let me know if you are going to be out there I'd love to meet up! Trying to hit the water around 9am...

Also, is there anything I should know before hitting this location for the first time?

Have you looked at the forecast? It's going to be a bit big and you may have a hard time getting out. Very good chance you will do some swimming. Have you fished the salt before?

I have fished salt, but not big surf. I looked at the wind forecast which looked good, and didn't even think to look up the surf forecast. Bummer, I should start researching options I guess. Anyone have a recommendation for a bay north of PAC city?

I may be at PC early tomorrow, but I'll be on a longboard if so.  For a bay just north of PC there's Tillamook Bay, or closer yet Netarts if you just want to crab.

Sand Lake can be a fun paddle, but the low tide tomorrow morning will leave it a bit dry for awhile so if you are planning to be on the water early, Netarts or Tillamook would be better choices.

Tillamook and Netarts are good options, but the currents are a force that demand respect in these bays.  Make sure you understand what the tide forecast means for these bays and be conservative if you've never been there before, Tillamook especially.

Would Nehalen bay be just as challenging as far as currents go?

Towards the mouth it can be and that's probably the only part of the bay you'd be able to fish for stuff like rockfish, greenling and lings.  The crabbing in Nehalem bay might be good though.
