They look pretty sweet.  I would like to see a review if someone gets one.

Or you can try this method:

Been thinking of doing that just for fun some winter.  I've got all the parts just need to slap it together and work out the kinks.  Don't really have a use for it as the mirage drive work great for what I need but it could be a fun project.  Could be a great tool for the H.O.W folks.

I built one for my Adventure and it worked ok. I cut the shaft of a trolling motor and mounted it in the drive well plug that I filled with two-part urethane foam to stiffen it (probably was not necessary). It just cleared the well, but it still ran too deep for my taste. Unlike the mirage drive, it has to come out if you go shallower than about 2'. I ran into some mud and the boat stopped dead. That might have been a lot more unpleasant if the bottom were harder. Seems I've also heard some cautions about stressing the well.
I was working on a better electronic speed controller to get better battery life, but I shelved it and can't seem to find one of them thar roundtuits.

Oh and don't forget! If you put a motor on it, you have to register it and put numbers on your yak!

I just watched his vid and his looks like it could work! Not half bad, it got that barge moving right along! I'm still pretty sure you could build for less though.

Kinda interesting, I could put one in the front drive well of the TI and keep the Mirage Drive in the rear well. Nice for grandkids, HOW, etc.

For me the registration is a deal killer, that would cost more than the unit itself and I don't see ever really wanting to use it other than a novelty.
