I saw this yesterday, looks like a nice boat. It's a great price, I was thinking about picking it up for HOW. But, the wife says this isn't a good time right now.

for such a wide boat it has a very low max cap. keep in mind your weight and +/- 50lbs of gear.. depending on what you're using it for it might be a slug in the water.

to give you an idea, my stealth12 porpoises on wake and is pretty slow on the sound when the water is anything but glassy. it's something like 12x28 with a cap of 450? but I'm not going too far and I don't mind the workout. but for flat water it's awesome

all in all it would make a fine introductory boat.

I have been saving my pennnies for a Remington 1911. Must stay focused and not spend blow it on something else I want.

If you don't want to spend all the money you've saved, then don't buy it..  Thats a small entry fee for a decent little boat, but this sport will take all the extra money you have and ask for more!!  Once you buy this boat and all the gear to get out, you'll catch your first big salmon or ling and then you'll want a new boat (probably a Hobie!!!)  Its great fun though, just dont tell your wife exactly how much you spend.... ;D ;D ;D

You folks are freaking hilearous on this sites. On friday I probably would have shot the last silver I hooked after it ninja'd me.

And NWNoob, I had already decided on what "entry-level" kayak I want. My dilemna is the 13, 11, and 8 year old who all want to go fishing as well. So I will probably only ever have two entry level type of kayaks to ensure safe fishing for all....
