Here's a chance for those of us who fish the salt off the Oregon coast a opportunity to have a little input in the process.

That surprised the hell out of me too.  I'd like to see it at 26".

It was lowered down here in CA this year, from 24 to 22.  If you look at the stock assessments on the pcouncil.org site, you'll see that biomass is doing awesome.  Still, lowering the minimum to below the size where many lings haven't yet had a chance to spawn, just doesn't seem right.

Seems like increasing the minimum size and the bag limit would be better to me  :-D

I voted for Cabezon minimum size increase.

If Cab season gets delayed, will ORC be delayed?

I would hope not.  My vote would be to play the game with the cards available.

My vote is restrict commercial fishing and give the sport fisherman more fish to catch.

Cabies aren't exactly a major target fish by the commercials...
What do you do for a living? I am thinking of getting a bunch a friends together and vote that you should no longer have a job because my friends and I enjoy doing your job as a hobby.

I'm not sure. I know from experience you can't try to earn it. I guess a person just has to have a natural a$$hat propensity.

I supplement my income by running some kayak fishing websites.  I am thinking of getting a bunch of friends together and vote that you should no longer have a job because it is at the expense of my job.

Oh wait, that's why fishermen, both commercial and sport, are losing the battle.  We're too busy bickering amongst ourselves to see that we're getting taken to the cleaners by Gang Green.
